Marilyn’s interest in visual arts and design has been an undercurrent in her life. She received a Master’s Degree from Boston University. She also attended The Public Communications Institute of BU. After working in the healthcare field for 15 years Marilyn was ready to pursue her love of photography full time. She studied at the New Hampshire Institute of Art completing her “Certificate of Photography” in 2003.

Marilyn has an innate vision and exceptional ability for compositions. She looks for joy, beauty and simple elegance in the ordinary.

She is co-owner, with Laura Piazza, of Natural Expressions Wedding Photography, a project which is devoted to capturing the natural expressions and recording the true emotional depth of a wedding day.

She continually finds ways, through workshops and education, to hone her skills and talents. She is a member of the New Hampshire Professional Photographer's Association as well as the Wedding Photojournalists Association (www.wpja.com)

When not photographing, she enjoys gardening and walking the conservation trails. She lives in Hampstead with her husband, her daughter and two spoiled retrievers.
